Do you like to shop? Or even love to shop? I know I do – I’ve wondered what I would buy if money were no object…a sports car? a beach house? a chef?? Probably all the above.

I’m not sure where the time has gone, but it’s already November and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. That means that Black Friday will also be here before you know it. And with Black Friday comes some of the best sales of the entire year.

But, if you’re like me and spending a day shopping sounds exhausting, how do you get in on the best Black Friday deals?? Easy – Online shopping!

Online shopping is easier than ever. There are so many shops online and I really think you can get anything on the internet.

One of my favorite online retailers is Amazon. If you’re a regular Amazon shopper then you’re probably familiar with Amazon Prime.

Amazon Prime has a ton of benefits. For a small annual fee, you get FREE Two-Day Shipping on eligible items; FREE 2-Hour Delivery with Prime Now, streaming benefits with Prime Video and unlimited, ad-free access to millions of songs with Prime Music. There are many other benefits to joining Amazon Prime so it’s well worth the investment.

If you’re not a member of Amazon Prime, you can still shop on Amazon. Amazon’s Black Friday deals are PHENOMENAL! And you don’t have to be a Prime member to enjoy the benefits of Amazon.

Amazon has literally millions of products available! Even if you’re not sure of what you’re looking for, you can buy a gift card for that special person on your list. This comes in very handy if you have college-age children or parents who seem to have everything.

Buying Amazon gift cards can also come in handy for the person who has pain or limited mobility. Many of my favorite products (like this long handle shoe horn) can be found on Amazon for a great price.

Zappos is another great online shopping site. They offer clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories for men, women, and children and many different lifestyles. The have a huge selection of stylish-looking slip-on shoes that are great options for anyone who has pain with tying their shoes.

And my favorite site for all my pet-loving friends is Chewy.com. Chewy has incredibly fast shipping – I ordered my dog a couple of sweaters and they showed up 24 hours later! Their prices are very competitive and like I said, you can’t beat their shipping speed.

So, if pain is keeping you from holiday shopping, there’s plenty of online options for everyone!

Until next time ~ Dr. JB Kirby

  1. Yay….I don’t mean to insult your pain…however this is the
FIRST time I’ve read exactly what I’ve been going through my entire life, by a live person who really knows and articulates MY chronic pain normal! So far…and including most of the doctors who have seen me…you actually KNOW my pain!

Most of my day is eaten up by a very unforgiving lower chronic back pain and there is very little I’m able to do. My “New normal” has changed so much in 2018, I can barely remember my pain normals a year ago…kinda sucks…

I try to do something to keep from becoming a beached whale. a physical form of exercising, from washing dishes to picking up around the house, I experience excruciating pain for hours before any pain med kicks in. There is another surgery for my back , but at the moment health risks are Center stage and the absolute prediction of increased bigger pain scares the hell out of me.

Thank you for sharing your pain…and ultimately, giving a voice to millions who suffer at this exact moment. I

    Thank you,

    1. Hi Carol – no insult taken. Chronic pain is terrible in so many ways. I started this blog because from a place of feeling alone – just like you. Chronic pain forced me to change everything about my life. I felt like a burden to my family and this made me depressed and mildly suicidal. I started seeing a counselor who really helped me overcome my negative thoughts and help me realize that I was a burden to my family. I decided to start writing down my frustrations about losing control because of pain and I turned my writings into an Amazon Bestseller (here is a link). I heard from so many people who were just like me – in chronic pain and frustrated because nobody seemed to understand. This led to me starting this blog – to let the millions of people all over the world who have chronic pain that they are not alone with chronic pain.
